"Happiness is not a destination. It is a mood, it is not permanent. It comes and goes and if people thought that way then maybe people would find happiness more often."
--Julian, One Tree Hill
There are many things in life that resonate with us, if we take the time to listen to its echos. Life, in its most purest form, is about the basics; life and happiness, can be found in the simple pleasures that we often overlook, while trying to get the destination of "happy."
Looking around, reflecting on past experiences and trying to prepare for the future, I've realized that through it all, I've been blessed. Life hasn't been easy, but I'm still able to find joy in the most seemingly minute things, like a sunny day after a week of rain or the visit from a dear friend whose presence elicits an immediate smile across my face.
I am still alive, kicking and able to experience life and emotions without needing to hide behind masks or veils. I have found love and got to experience it in its purest form. I have made good friends and found confidence to help me take life one step at a time.
Love,
Sula
